Medea

Authors: Uros Jovanovic, Rade Obradovic

Performer: Rade Obradovic

The metaphor was taken from the famous Myth Medea and inwoven through a sequence of solo performances. Medea decides to murder her children because she feels it is the best way to hurt Jason.

As Medea, I took my own experience, rethought it, and gave answers, throughout this performance, to the following questions: Who's the biggest love in your life? How would your death look like? What would you do for your love? Who brings out honesty we hardly express? Who is the one that takes off all of our clothes, our skin, and ego? If, as performers, we bring all of this to the audience, we can expect a good connection, one that we all crave. This was Medea for me, as well the space in Ostavinska Galerija in Belgrade, Serbia.
